The reason we serve in the US and outside the US is to experience what we can do for God and not to always be looking for what God is going to do for us. It's amazing to see the power of God at work using the hands and feet of those who are serving Him to meet needs and share His love with people around the world. Where the money goes
Each year, Living Hope partners with Nazarene Churches around the world by giving money to a fund that serves such needs as US urban compassionate ministries, feeding programs for the hungry, disaster relief, medical clinics, education and training, starting new churches, supporting missionaries and more. In the 2007-2008 Church Year, Living Hope will contribute around $50,000.
F.A.Q's
1) Why Honduras? It is somewhere we haven't been before and it was an opportunity to serve where God needs us.
2) Why Appalachia? It is an area that has always been in need and you don't read about them in the paper everyday.
3) Why do we need to go out of the country when the need is right here? It's an opportunity to reach out to others that may not have the chance to hear God's word.
4) What do you do on a mission trip? Minister to others, show God's light to others, encourage others and help others rebuild their brokeness.
5) Why do we have to pay to serve others? It's our way of giving back to those who are less fortunate than we are and it helps to support the missionaries who are out in the field.
