Native American Missions
This year we will be helping Donna Jumping Eagle who has opened her tiny home as a safe house for Lakota youth on the Pine Ridge reservation who have no where else to go. Currently there are seventeen children living there. Donna is not only offering them a home but teaching them the Lakota ways, they learn how to make the traditional Lakota star quilts, and sell them to purchase clothes and other necessities. They also go on horseback trips in the winter like their ancestors before them. We will be collecting fabric, thread, quilt batting and heavy duty winter sleeping bags to help encourage and support these forgotten children. I also will be taking orders for T-shirts that were designed specifically for the safe house and all proceeds will go to finish the dormitory that is currently being build for the kids.

Living Hope Teens To Serve, Summer 2012!
Our destination for 2012's summer mission project will be in Cherokee Nation, North Carolina, where we will be taking part in a six day Appalachian Mission Project, reaching out to these struggling families by helping with home repair and renovation. Our youth have an opportunity to put their faith into action through hands-on projects, and also participate in several other events like a ropes course and whitewater rafting.
